This work offers 15 color panoramas of German cities which originally appeared in Georg Braun's "Civitates Orbis Terrarum," an extensive landmark work of cartography published between 1572 bis 1618. These maps present bird's-eye views of Munich, Aaachen, Augsburg, Frankfurt am Main, Dortmund, Essen, Cologne, Magdeburg, Hamburg, Flensburg, Lübeck, Gorlitz, Kiel, Schleswig, Marburg, Kassel, Meissen, Soest, Passau, Heidelberg, Munster, Weimar, Bremen, Lüneburg, Regensburg, Halle a. d. S., Tübingen, Nuremberg, Rostock, Bamberg, Wismar and Leipzig. The dust jacket is illustrated with a view of Bonn. Jacket, now preserved in a paper-backed mylar cover, displays small tear at spine, with closed tear at bottom edge of the same.
