Aristotle
Aristoteles Physik. Ubersetzt und mit Anmerkungen begleitet von C. H. Weisse.
Leipzig: Verlag von Johann Ambrosius Barth, 1829. First edition of this work in two parts (the first containing the translation, the second the commentary). xii/690 pages.
Volume, measuring approximately 5.75" x 8.75", is bound in plain paper-backed green paper-covered boards. Book shows external wear, with small perforation at mid-section of spine cover, loss of portions of spine cover, light soiling to covers and minor loss at outside corners of the boards. A sliver of moisture marking is visible along the fore edge of the front cover. Binding is sound. Perforation appears at the inside margin between pages 283-530, only marginally or very marginally affecting text.  A small number of pages exhibit light pencil marginalia. Light pencil notations can be seen in upper outside corner of the second part indicating parts of Aristotle's text being commented by Christian Hermann Weisse (1801-1866), a German Protestant theologian and professor of philosophy at the University of Leipzig.
