Writings by Bishop Alejandro Labaka Ugarte (1920-1987) on the Huaorani, an Indigenous people of the Amazonian region of Ecuador. Labaka studied the culture of the Huaorani from his arrival in Ecuador in 1953 until the time of his death. This book chronicles his travels among the Huaorani through the seventies and eighties.
