Volume, measuring approximately 5.75" x 7.5", is bound in orange cloth, with stamped black lettering to spine and front cover. Stamped pictorial design in black on front cover depicts Liebermann at work on a drawing. Binding is slightly cocked. Top edge of text block is tinted green. Fore and bottom edges of text block display foxing. Very light foxing can be seen on initial and final pages of text. This work contains 270 illustrations, with reproductions of the work of Max Liebermann (1847-1935), German-Jewish painter and printmaker, and one of the leading proponents of Impressionism in Germany. The volume has a photographic portrait of the artist as its frontispiece.
