Large-format volume, measuring approximately 8.5" x 11.25", in red leatherette, with stamped gilt lettering to spine and front cover. Top of spine is lightly bumped. Binding is firm. Small red stain appear in upper inside corners. Interior is otherwise clean and bright. Dust jacket displays wear at edges, with very minor loss of material and closed tears. Jacket is preserved in mylar. Some of the plates are folded. A number of the illustrations are in color.
This work is devoted to Russian mural painting and mosaics used by the Orthodox Eastern Church, offering insight into a major confluence of Christianity and art.
