Two folio volumes, each measuring approximately 10.5" x 14.25", is bound in light brown cloth, with stamped black lettering to spines and facsimile of artist's signature stamped in black on front cover. Books are like new. Intact dust jackets show moderate wear, with very light soiling to covers and small closed tears at edges.
This critical edition of the hand drawings of Italian architect Francesco Borromini (1599-1667) aims to reveal the original objective meaning of his sketches and project descriptions that have come down to us and their importance as first-hand evidence of art history.
