Volume, measuring approximately 9" x 12", is bound in gray cloth, with silver-lettered black spine label and letters "C" and "G" stamped in black. Book is in fine condition, with firm binding, clean and bright interior. Profusely illustrated with textual and full-page illustrations, as well as plates.
Work on Italian architect Gaetano Chiaveri (1689-1770) by German art historian Eberhard Hempel (1886-1967). This study focuses on Chiaveri's part in the building of the Dresden Cathedral (1739-1755), one of the main works of the Dresden Baroque and still one of that city's most famous landmarks.
