Volume is bound in red cloth, with bright stamped gilt lettering to spine and blind-stamped logo on front cover. Book is in excellent condition, with firm binding and clean, bright pages. Book has b&w photographic frontispiece portrait of the author and two photos of the poet Osip Mandelstam following table of contents. Appendix contains a section with notes on persons mentioned in the text, a section with a note on literary movements and organizations, as well as an index. Dust jacket exhibits very light shelfwear. Jacket is preserved in mylar cover.
