Each volume, measuring approximately 6" x 8.5", is bound in black cloth, with stamped gilt lettering to first volume and silver lettering to second volume. Books show light shelfwear. Bindings are firm. Interiors are clean and without markings. 
This is a collection of Russian-language essays devoted to the life and work of Konstantin Nikolayevich Leontiev (1831-1891) was "a conservative tsarist and imperial monarchist Russian philosopher who advocated closer cultural ties between Russia and the East against what he believed to be the West's catastrophic egalitarian, utilitarian and revolutionary influences. He also advocated Russia's cultural and territorial expansion eastward to India, Tibet and China." (Wikipedia)
