This work offers a lavishly illustrated history of La Panaderia, a Mexico City gallery of contemporary art, with texts by the editors, Carlo McCormick, Guillermo Fadanelli, Eduardo Abaroa, and an interview with Mexican artist and writer Miguel Calderón ("the enfant terrible of contemporary art in Mexico" according to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) . The largest part of this volume is devoted to an accounting of exhibitions and events, with two texts by Itala Schmelz ("Los inicios rebeldes" & "Transfiguración"). A section entitled "Fun for the Whole Family" provides information on openings, concerts and residency at La Panadería. A comprehensive chronology and index appear at rear of volume. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
