Volume, measuring approximately 6" x 8.5", is bound in quarter black cloth and marbled red paper, with stamped red lettering to spine. Book shows light shelfwear, with mild foxing to edges of text block. Binding is firm. Very light foxing is visible on endpapers. Interior is otherwise clean and bright. Dust jacket, with price of $5.00 on front flap, exhibits light shelfwear. Jacket is preserved in mylar cover.
First novel by Hubert Selby, Jr. (1928-2004), prosecuted for obscenity in the United Kingdom and banned in Italy due to its depiction of taboo subjects involving drug use, sexuality, and violence.
