Attractive antique volume, measuring approximately 5" x 7.5", is bound in three quarter leather and marbled paper-covered boards, with stamped gilt lettering to spine. Book is in excellent condition, with new endpapers and original wrappers bound in. Previous owner's name is written in upper outside corner of front cover. Binding is firm. Pages are clean and bright. 
Inscription on half title page reads "A monsieur E. W. Balch / (illegible word) homage / Paul Sabatier."
