Large-format volume, measuring approximately 8.75" x 12", is bound in textured blue paper-covered boards, with stamped gilt lettering to spine and front cover. Top of spine displays several small abrasions. Book is otherwise in fine condition, with solid binding, clean and bright pages and illustrations. Dust jacket, with mounted plate, displays wear, with minor loss to spine panel and at bottom edge of front panel. Jacket is preserved in paper-backed mylar cover.
Werner Weisbach (1873 – 1953) was a German-Swiss art historian whose work contributed to the understanding of the art of the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Middle Ages.
