Volumes, each measuring approximately 6" x 8.75", are bound in turquoise cloth, with stamped silver lettering to spines. Books display very light shelfwear. Bindings are firm. Interiors are clean and bright. Dust jackets exhibit light shelfwear, with mild creasing at some top edges.
"Monumental survey of the golden age of Spanish Jewry under the rule of the Muslims. The author's work is "based on many Arabic sources, such as chronicles and geographical writings, Hebrew inscriptions, and literary and documentary sources, as well as Geniza records from Spanish towns and on various Latin works. He has also done much fieldwork, undertaking topographical research on the ancient Jewish quarters in old Spanish towns which have survived the centuries."
