Volume, measuring approximately 6.5" x 9.75", is bound in blue cloth, with stamped gilt lettering to spine and front cover. A small water stain appears at lower portion of front cover. Book is otherwise in fine condition, with solid binding, clean and bright interior. Text in Latin with facing English translation.
Work written by Italian Platonist Marsilio Ficino (1433-1499), consisting of three treatises written in Latin between 1480 and 1489 dealing with the preservation of health, prolonging life, as well as astral influences. The emphasis is more on mental health, but medical and behavioral advice is also given.
